FROM NICOLE đź’™

Rick was the absolute love of my life.

When he was killed in the line of duty on September 22, 2023, the life we had built and the future I believed we still had disappeared in an instant.

Everything became unrecognizable. I was left trying to understand how to keep living when the person I thought I would grow old with was suddenly no longer beside me…and how to carry a love that was still so present when he no longer was.

In the time that followed, I learned there were parts of grief and trauma that words alone could not always reach. I needed different ways to move what I was carrying through my body, mind and soul. I needed meaningful experiences, practical tools and people who understood that life could be hard and messy without requiring me to explain every part of my story first.

Brave Hearts grew from that need.

It is deeply personal, but it was never meant to be mine alone. It is the kind of space I needed…and the kind of space I hope others can find when they need somewhere to begin, return or simply be.

THERE IS A PLACE FOR YOU HERE.

Brave Hearts is for people navigating the hard and messy parts of life.

It may be grief. Trauma. Loss. A life that changed without your permission. A season that left you disconnected from yourself. Or something you are still trying to find the words for.

You do not need to have the same story as someone else to understand what it means to carry something heavy.

You do not need to arrive with the right words, know what you need or be ready to share.

Through shared experiences, practical tools and genuine connection, Brave Hearts creates meaningful ways to reconnect with yourself, connect with others…and find your way through.

There is no right way to heal, and you do not have to figure it all out alone.

You are welcome exactly where you are.

BODY + MIND + SOUL

What we carry does not live in only one part of us.

It can live in our thoughts, emotions, nervous systems, relationships and bodies. That is why Brave Hearts explores healing through the whole person…body, mind and soul.

Movement, breath, creativity, sound, nature, reflection and conversation become different doorways into the same question:

What helps you reconnect with yourself and find your way through?

HEALING OUT LOUD

Healing Out Loud is the practice of giving words to what we are carrying so we do not always have to carry it silently.

Sometimes that means saying something out loud. Sometimes it means writing privately in a journal, naming an emotion to yourself, sharing with someone you trust or hearing another person express something you have felt but could not yet put into words.

Healing Out Loud is not about public disclosure or being expected to share more than feels right.

You are always invited to find the words. You are never required to share them.

BRAVE HEARTS EXPERIENCES

Sometimes healing looks like sitting quietly with your breath.

Sometimes it looks like moving your body, creating something, spending time in nature or letting sound settle your nervous system.

And sometimes healing looks like…smashing a pumpkin.

Brave Hearts Experiences offer different ways to explore what supports you through guided, thoughtfully designed experiences for the body, mind and soul.

Each experience includes an actual activity, opportunities for reflection and connection, and a practical tool you can carry forward.

Come for the experience. Leave with something you can carry forward.
